We are home based in Schertz, Tx and also have a "mini" showroom setup in New Braunfels, Tx. We typically come to you in the comfort of your home and prepare a custom proposal unique to you and your specific needs, all with exceptional service, quality and value.

We met in 1995 in Albuquerque, NM while working with America West Airlines. I (Jim) was part-time and also a career firefighter with Albuquerque Fire Rescue. Lara would pickup shifts for me when I had to work at the fire station so naturally we always had a great friendship and a close connection. Throughout the decades, I remained in Albuquerque with my daughters and Lara travelled across the country with her husband and started her family. We always found that their paths kept crossing and we would randomly run into each other when Lara was back home. It was always a surprise and a great chance to catch up.
Fast forward a couple decades to 2018. Jim had reactivated his FaceBook account after being off for about 7 years. FaceBook messenger suggested Lara should "wave" to her friend. Well she did and they chatted back and forth over messenger that next morning. They were both single now. WooHoo! By 1:00 pm that day, they were on the phone with each other and haven't stopped talking since. In 2019, Jim and his son moved to Schertz/Cibolo with Lara and her boys and started their new chapter in life.
Jim started working part time in 2001 installing blinds, shades and shutters locally in Albuquerque. He had always hoped to start his own business but could never find the right moment. With Lara now in his life, they started River City Window Fashions in 2019 and together they are building something special. In 2022, Jim and Lara were married. Life has a funny way of working itself out. We were made to be with each other, it just took a while to get there. We each found our "person" and the best is yet to come.
We are a home-based business so we bring the showroom to you! Our "mini" showroom is by appointment only and not open to the public.
